a 15 minute mix of ambience. moderate rain and light thunder on calm nights in what passes for urban in oklahoma. sounds of passing cars on the interstate highway in the distance, some from closer city streets. many sources, including several original rain recordings of my own through the years. some computer generated visuals and audio are in there, but no AI was used.

the start and end of the actual 15 minutes are mixed together somewhere in the middle, so this audio is perfect for looping. visuals do shift throughout, but the screen doesn't go dark (or excessively bright).

i shot some talking-head takes recently on a rainy day, but spliced with clear days, and i whipped this up to help make everything more uniform. as someone with autism and adhd, i find white noise and other ambient sounds very helpful.

i also find it useful to use audio as a timer, and it's nice to have less than 10 hours available, right? i think this would be great for pomodoro breaks (i do 45/15 a lot), etc.

anyway, i thought i'd share this since i'd made it. hope you enjoy!

*(unlisted vid + update)* hey you. i hear ya loud and clear. you're glad to hear from me and you SAY you're down for whatever. 😎 okay cool. well, i think i have one more chatty catchy-uppy yappy kinda thing before i start approaching some topics... i'll finish editing it and will post it soon.

and i want to warn you, since things have felt really organic over here, me covering some of these topics MIGHT seem sensationalist or clickbaity. the subjects *actually* might be, but my point of view on them isn't engineered... and i won't be speaking about anything just because it might grab attention.

a recent example: i had plenty of opinions on tyler catastrophe, as an okie luso pride fam myself (like him, apparently)... and i had plenty of opinions on the way things were being covered. but even with that being the case, i didn't have much† original information to contribute -- so, i didn't. i was tempted... but, i didn't. no shade to anyone that did, maybe they they had something worthwhile to say: i didn't feel that way, so I didn't. just know that about me before things get silly. 👍

† (note, i said "much" -- if i feel i have more in the future, i reserve the right to bring him up looool)

also, if i were a clout gobbler, i'd glut better off other sources (than those of future subjects)... i'd rather just chill, but if you start causing noise in my yard i WILL eventually see what's all the racket about?

now... all that said, will i make absurd thumbnails and tabloid titles like we're the national enquirer over here just to grab your attention? yes ma'am, sir, mx, friend i will!!! 💅 your attention is no paltry thing, and it's worth grabbing... but once i have it, it's my job to show up and deliver. i don't take that on lightly.

ok, so, about this vid... this is a total extra bonus weird thing. look, i made this audio to use as ambience (because it's been raining here, but not during *every* take) and i thought maybe someone would find it useful.

i didn't click the "blast this to everyone subscribed" button, because i didn't figure everyone would want to see it...
